Real Estate Market

Romania is now officially on the map of most of the important real estate funds in the world! The country has made progress towards establishing a functioning market economy and it has taken measures that will allow the development of its future capacity. The Romanian market is trying to cope with the huge interest that it has attracted from foreign investors, both private and institutional.

The value of large real estate deals on the Romanian market went up to 815 million Euros in the first six months of the year. This puts Romania on the second place in Central and Eastern Europe.

The second quarter of 2008 saw 696 million euro's worth of deals conducted in Romania, six times higher than in the first three months of the year and 18.6% higher than in the same time of 2007.
