Mogoşoaia is characterized through a delightful natural landscape of the Mogoşoaia Forest and lake with the same name, and especially by the Palace of Mogoşoaia, a splendid architectural monument that combines elements of the local architecture with Italian art.

The locality was named after the wife of the boyard Mogoş, which used to own the land in the are during the 17th century.

Mogoşoaia is situated approximately 15 km distance from the center of Bucharest, in the North-Eastern part of the Capital.

Car

You can get to Mogosoaia from Northern Bucharest in approximately 10 minutes by car.

Train

Direct trains on a daily basis are available from Gara de Nord (Northern Bucharest) to Mogoşoaia with a travelling time of less than 30 minutes.
